Part 2- Stories from Reality, Not Fiction

Real-life stories, not fiction

A story that exposes the depravity of con artists

A truth the con artist missed: Mrs. Suad never gave him a single penny without a guarantee. She knew that someone hiding their face and asking for money to scam people wouldn\’t come to her door to collect it; she could see through them before they even saw her face.

Nevertheless, she knew he would send her his bank account details for the transfer, so she accepted them. After sending the first payment, the con artist tried to ask for more.

The teacher didn\’t refuse because she was aware of the scheme, while he was oblivious. She immediately asked him to send her his ID to confirm that he was the one receiving the money and not someone else. He quickly sent her his ID because he heard more was on the way. The teacher kept both documents, while the con artist was oblivious to what would happen to him in this clash with her values, morals, and integrity. He carried out his plan, taking the money and the website he had been given as the first payment, and then he fled.

But the woman acted wisely and refused to be drawn into such actions. Out of consideration for his family and because he lived abroad, she decided not to expose him. Instead, she took the necessary steps to track him down herself.

The writer and former university professor, Suad Al-Saati, initially envisioned a single website with four sub-sites to document her academic legacy across four university disciplines. This resulted in the creation of ten websites bearing her name.

To transform fraud into a powerful deterrent, she created, designed, and built a network of websites—not just one—to teach a crucial lesson that should be included in her students\’ curricula: resisting fraudsters with the weapon of knowledge and its applications, thus preventing them from exploiting it with their tricks.

Science and its applications will diminish the fraudster\’s influence, prevent him from preying on his victims, and ultimately eliminate him.

Science and its researchers will remain in the light, and the enemy of science who profits from deception—an illicit gain that violates religions, social norms, and laws worldwide—will be defeated. He will remain in the shadows, never to see the light, for he who ignores the truth lives in darkness
